(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB date unreadable, from Alko, 20150918) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts, liquorice and ash. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, ash, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A quite good brew but a bit too burnt and contained nothing resembling pils.

A colablack beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma is balanced with liquirice, breadyness, only hint of roastiness, some sweetness, hint of chocolate. Taste has coffee, bread, some liquirice, the bitterness is quite mild and slightly herbal. Almost medium bodied, nice and smooth palate. More bitterness could be there but otherwise, as like this easy to enjoy. Good beer.

Dark brown color, small beige head. Toasted, a bit coffeish, caramelly aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted maltyness, coffee, grassy hoppyness. Grassy bitterness in the aftertaste. Despite of the name, quite traditional Schwazbier.

33 cl bottle @ Mallaskosken Pienpanimoiden Oluttapahtuma
Aroma is well roasted with cocoa and coffee. Also grainy tones. Smooth palate. Flavour has coffee, roasted tones, toffee typical to English ales. Finishes with grassy hops. A well roasted and hoppy schwartzbier.
