Bottle. A pale, yellowish beer topped by a decent white head. Citrusy, almost tea-like nose with pale malts in the back. Lovely citrusy flavor with some pale malts. Maybe a bit one-dimensional, but tasteful and refreshing. Quite dry, and with a citrusy finish where also some bitterness shows up. Sure a decent beer, with good quenching qualities. 090720

Big offwhite lasting head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Fruity floral mealy hoppy aroma with citric malty pea notes. Fantastic harmony. Dry-sweetish floral citric peas taste with peppery mealy grassy notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Clean, fresh palate. Fullish body. Dry chalky floral straw and malts aftertaste with pea and biscuit notes. Excellent and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.0%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, big to moderate white head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, hint of apricots. Light bodied and refreshing: The flavour has distinct fruity hops on a moderately sweet bakground of malts, ending in a well balanced resinous and grapefruity bitterness. A nice little summer ale this one.

Bottle, Beer Ritz, Leeds. Mmkay so its a mere 4percenter but surely this has been a tad underrated on here ? T’ain’t dat bad you know. Poured a darkish golden colour with a fading white head. Fragrant grassy hop aroma . Flavour was an appropriately lighty citrusy affair with a decent hop bitter finish that had a slightly mineral tang to it. Ok, but I’ll stck with the other kind of Northern Light(s) for now. Ya dig?

500ml bottle from Cornelius Beer and Wine in Edinburgh. Bubbly white head on the top of a clear, golden body. Smell of herbal grass. Light orange fruit in flavour with brief suggestions of mild spices. Weak bitter endnotes. Shortage of taste and rather anonymous [at our hotel room 15.11.2008].

Yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma is malty and fruity, including a note of pear. Sweet and fruity, rather boring flavour.
