The beer pours brilliantly clear and is as gold as the pyrite flecks that accent the Lapis Lazuli stone that gives this beer it’s name. The fine white head slowly subsides and releases the earthy aromas of dried hay, and spicy herbs with a bit of lemon citrus. The flavour is abundant with more of the same herbal, spicy and citrus notes with a hint of pine and an assertive, crisp, bitterness. The extra dry hop with Canadian grown Sasquatch hops brings out a subtle, sweet fruit top note which deftly balances the spicy, bitter, pilsner flavours. The malt slowly comes through in the after taste with unleavened bread, nuttyness and a whisper of berries. It is a classic style made for our summers—a reason to celebrate all on it’s own.

473ml can. Pours a clear pale gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of bready pale malt, lemon and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of bready pale malt, orange, lemon, faint pine and spicy hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Pretty solid.
