Bottle split at JF’s, from Tesco Camberley, 11/09/14. Clear golden amber with a good sized off white covering that dissipates then retains. Nose is citric sherbets, hay, lemon rind, caramel, grain. Taste comprises caramel malt, straw, light fruit notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, astringent bitterness in the close. So very so !

Bottle from Tesco. Paler golden coloured with a small carbonation. Has a light hop character and is tasty for it, including a good aroma. A touch dry in its texture this is more than palatable stuff.

Bottle from ?Jacks? Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, Wednesday 30th April consumed at home Sunday 5th May 2014 Crystal clear gold heading maybe to a lighter dark straw colour, with white sheen of bubbles. Fairly safe golden ale, a little minerally maltiness, soft mouthfeel, the cascade are not really asserting themselves, I guess they have been used sparingly. Some biscuit in the mouth, a little metallic twang, its ok. A5 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

50cl bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell. Pale gold with a ring of white head; spicy aroma; typical Shep taste - peppery, biscuity body, Kentish hops; then a warming, but rather metallic finish.
