Cask at The Metropolitan (W’Spoons), Baker Street, London. An amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, some pine and really quite bitter. This was decent but the bitterness needs dialling down somewhat for me.

Cask hand pull at The County Hotel Ashford. Clear amber lasting beige head. Hoppy aroma. Decent condition. Burst of grapefruit hop in the mouth. Wow that’s really quite hoppy. Not perfect but slap me on the bum and call me Sally it’s hoppy. Hop juice. Worth a pint after the half I bought

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. An attractive golden amber with a tight cream head; aroma of orange peel and marmalade; lip-smacking orange marmalade taste with lots of strong resinous piney hops and a rich buttery biscuit body; then lingering crisp green hops and tart grapefruit to finish. Excellent, one of the few UK beers that could stand up against an American IPA.

0,5L bottle, BB 06.01.2015. Pours dark golden with slightly off huge white head. The head stays. Aroma is pine, caramel, and citrus. Taste is intense grapefruit bitter, more fruits, caramel, and honey sweetness in the back. Finish is long grapefruit bitter and sweet. Overall: nice fruity IPA.

Nose is grapefruit, pine, slight lychee. Taste is very bitter pine, leading to slight tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is suitable. It’s a very underwhelming IPA, it has the pine, but never really develops the tropical tones it hints to and the pine is too one note.

Bottle, 5.6%. Good citric and grapefruity aroma. Hazy grey copper colour. Good stable chalk white head. The flavour is sweetish and hoppy. The bitterness is quite rough, but there is a little fruitiness to balance it somewhat. On the whole, a flavourful IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and fruit, the latter being rather dominant for a beer within this style. Bitter, hoppy flavour, wi well pronounced sweetish, fruity notes. Bitter afteraste. Nice but tastes more like a DIPA without the ABV peculiar to that style.
