Bottle @ World Cup Tasting @ Hallinghansen. Pours hazy orange with a creamy white head. Yeast, citrus, grass, flowers and bread. Some bubblegum - US Belgian Saison Style Like. Disappointing but why did I expect it to be any better!?

0.65l bottle brought home from Mikkeller & Friends. I just really like this little brewery. In the glass this one has a light cloudy deep orange body with a small bubbly, lingering and definitely lacing bright white head. It's quite fruity and inviting on the nose. Almost tropical fruit with melon and peaches. Not over hopped-fruity but more subtle and calmed down with traces of bread. Lots of sweetness also here. Could be honey melon I smell. Mild grassy as well and it smells quite nice. It's really different in the taste! Is it a supercharged golden English ale or something? It has a good oily feeling in the mouth and the bubbles are only prickling, soft and somewhat comfortable in the mouth. All sorts of ripe fruits in the taste but the kicker is the peppery almost spicy thing that comes in the finish. Bitter blood orange with lots of yeast references. In the finish besides the peppery spicy heat there is also a good amount of alcohol. I have no idea what kind of beer this is, but I'm quite enjoying this peculiar little mouse thingy. 23.01.2014

Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Hazy orange color, small off-whits head. Smell malts, sweetness, lightly grains, slightly herbal. Taste lightly malts, lightly grains, sweetish, slightly herbs, some fruitiness that reminds me of peach. A bit fizzy carbonation, medium body.

650ml bottle. Clear, orangey deep golden colour with average to huge, foamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Yeasty aroma, hints of bamboo and banana. Taste is initially minimally sweet malty, with a bready touch and herbal hoppy overtones; later dry, more Saison typical yeasty with a vegetable touch, slightly spicy yeasty overtones throughout; in the finish with a gooseberry touch that may stem from the Bramling Cross. Complex, arduous, inharmonic.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14. Hazed orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, straw, lemon rind, spice, pretty basic saison aroma. Taste comprises bitter orange, yeasty notes, straw, pithy citrics, light spice, bready. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate saison, ticks the boxes for style but lacks any grace, a little too yeasty.

Bottle, 22oz. An unclear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is sort of sugary, with tropical fruits and a touch of pine cones. The flavor is too much on the sweet side I think, fruity and with a little hint of pale malts. Medium to full body, quite effervescent, far from dry. Some bitterness chimes in towards the end. Rather metallic finish. Not tasting bad this one, but it’s not my kind of beer in any way. 140301
