On tap at the brewpub. Served a slightly hazy orange-golden body with a small, dense off-white head on top. Citrusy and piney hops initially in the aroma, followed by malty sweetness and some toffee. A bit weak though. Quite sweet flavor with floral and piney hops. Good bitterness. Bitter, orange-peel finish with some sweetness and a hint of alcohol, even though it’s almost session strenght. There’s some warmth initially too, from this full-bodied beer. It’s a good beer, but especially for the locals, it’s maybe a bit too focused on bitterness, leaving the malt and hoppy fruityness in the background. It must be annoying to be a brewmaster at a Norwegian brewpub, when most of the customers wants quite non-challanging beers. I guess this one push the limit quite good, but at least it suits my likings. (080711)

Medium beige head. Amber body. Deep harmonic fruity floral aroma with strawberry notes. Dry-sweet dusty malty taste with fruity floral notes. Soft, clean mouthfeel with some dust. Smooth. Mid-bodied. Dry roasty smoky strawberry aftertaste. The smokiness lingers for a long time. Very nice! (0.5l draft at the brewpub.)
