Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, pine and orange. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel, fruity and bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear dark amber beer with a light beige head. Lots of tropical fruits on the nose, little of what you normally expect from a doppelbock. The flavor has some malty sweetness, a nice bitterness a some tropical fruits but way too little maltyness. Medium body, soft carbonation. All in all, not much of a doppelbock, but it drinks easy. 130813
