On tap at Breakwater, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of oak, some old earthiness, and a touch of lactose. Flavour is odd, with lactose, oak, and earthiness. Strange blend; it's alright.

Black with a brown head - Roasted malt aroma with some coffee notes - Roasted malt body with some coffee flavours along with some bitterness - The dark malt and coffee goes into the finish with some bitterness - This was good

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, oatmeal, oak and vanilla. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, oatmeal, vanilla and oak finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. An almost black one, topped by a beige head. Vanilla, chocolate and coffee blends nicely in the aroma. Soft, almost flat on the palate, medium to full body. Chocolate, vanilla and some coffee in th flavor, a little roasted touch too. A bit short finish. Lacks some carbonation, else a really nice vanilla beer. 130813

According to the brewer this is a Sweet Stout. Tap (I think Nitro). Pours with a black body and a large tan head. Aroma of butterscotch, roast, vanilla, fruit, tobacco, toffee and coffee. Taste is dry, fruity, chocolate, mocha and cinnamon. Really smooth mocha flavors. Medium finish. Good stuff.

Black with a large beige and creamy head. Aroma had burned malt, dark chocolate, coffee and english liquerice. Flavour was sweet with burned malt, dark chocolate, english liqeurice and espresso. Nice one.
