On tap at Breakwater, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely wine yeast upfront, followed by brett and light red fruits. Flavour is quite complex, with notes of red wine barrels, brett, grape mist and leather. Complex and wonderfully balanced. Excellent.

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear amber to brown beer with a small creamy light beige head. Nice curtains. Light roasted aroma with caramel, some dried fruits and a distinct baked touch. There’s a faint bitterness in the flavor, with roasted notes and some oak and caramel. Full body, really smooth on the palate. Caramel and some oak in the finish. Unusual, but nice. Not much Brett impact. 130813

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden dark brown to amber with a small white head. Aroma is citric and light toasted malty, rather authentic flemish brown. Smooth fruity, citric and light sour. Fruity and lingering citric into the far finish, vague underlying sweetness.
