Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear copper with a large creamy beige head. Fruit/floral aroma. It’s malty, but there’s a lot of floral hop. The combo is suggesting a bitter, maybe an ESB. It’s hoppy, decently bitter, and the malt is fended off from sweetness. Pretty nice to drink.

On tap at Sam’s Diner, San Francisco. It pours an almost clear body, amber in color, and with an off-white head. The aroma is rather piney, with some caramel. A bit one-dimensional maybe. Caramel, bitterness and green pine cones in the flavor. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Mostly bitter finish, with a little caramel and dark bread. Overall, a quite nice one, but I’d like a tad more complexity. 130804

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream colored head. Light citrus and malty aroma. Light citrus and light dark fruit flavors with malt/caramel. Medium bodied. Citrus and earth linger with malt and light pine.
