Pours clear brown with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, grass and hint of chocolate. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A lightly unclear brown beer topped by a small, dense, dark beige head that lasts. The aroma is mostly roasted, with some burnt notes and a touch of prunes. Quite meaty too. It’s of course thin on the palate, it’s dry and pleasantly carbonated, with flavors of roasted malts and coffee grit, some meaty hints and quite a lot of hoppy bitterness. Lasting roasted and bitter finish. Although light bodied and at a low alcohol level, it’s a fine brew. Tasteful and quenching and well worth a revisit. 140621
