On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. An unclear, amber colored beer topped by a dense, beige head of moderate size. Toffee, dried fruits, alcohol, some banana hints and a wee touch of peaches and grass in the aroma. The flavor is quite sweet, with dried fruits, toffee and some banana. Alcohol flavor and warmth too, with a full, smooth body and a lasting finish. Too much on the alcohol side this one, but sure drinkable. 150624

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of matl, caramel, alcohol, floral, grass, yeast and banana. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long slightly warm, caramel, banana and yeasty finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap @ Heartland, Empire State Building:
Copper to amber colour, OK head. Sweet and malty caramel aroma. Sweet and malty caramel flavour with notes of dark berries. A touch too boozy but still pretty drinkable.

(On tap) Dark golden and hence darker than the typical German Mai Bocks. Very fullbodied with a very alcoholic touch pointing towards whiskey(!) Both malty, spicy and hoppy. An extremely solid beer.
