0,4L bottle. The official promotional description of this beer in English is: "A. Le Coq’s Märzen is a descendant of the famous Bavarian March beers – an amber lager with a full taste, where the sweetness of malt and bitterness of hops are in perfect balance. Märzen is characterised by a roasted aroma reminiscent of bread, as well as a malty essence and lasting head." What the beer actually is: not what I would call amber lager (it’s more clear golden), not what i would say is full taste (tastes like cheap lager), not what I would call "perfect balance" (too sweet, annoying metallic notes, bitterness too hidden etc.), no "a roasted aroma reminiscent of bread" (aroma again is typical for cheap lager), yeah I agree that there are some malty notes, but no lasting head (the head stays only for a moment)! So the only thing that is true about the description is some malty notes in the taste... I would like to try the promotional description beer, not the crap they actually sell.

Pours clear amber, nice foam that doesn’t stay long. Aroma is old socks, wet cardboard and a bit of malt. taste is better - slightly sweet and has some honey. Aftertaste is simple and short with a hint of hop bitterness. Relatively watery body. I can drink it if necessary.

40cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours clear deep golden with a fast dissipating white head. Grainy aroma with notes of metal, cooked vegetables, caramel and hints of honey and herbs. Medium sweet and grainy with a light bitterness. A small step up from the usual pale lagers, but nothing I would buy again.
