Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus. yeast and lots of banana. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long banana, yeasty and slightly citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. Light hazy, golden body under a finger thick white head. Banana, some dusty barn and lemon hints in the aroma. The flavor has a nice bitterness to deal with the sweetness and banana. There’s also some alcohol flavor and warmth, it’s full bodied and nicely carbonated. Long fruity finish with a touch of banana. Not a favorite. Lacking on most things I’d expect from a saison or even a rye beer, and the banana is misplaced. 150615
