Black pour and a big tan head. Decent intensity in the aroma. Ok balanced sweetness and bitterness. Not the usual heavy carbonation level. But still tad to rich. Dark malt, roast, toffee and coffee in the flavor. [Bottle @ source]

500ml, swing-top bottle, 4.7 % abv, at Horten Sjømilitære Samfund. Shared with Frau Eva. Clear deep dark brownish body, clingy lacing, remaining tan-colouted head. Inviting lightly roasted malty aromas, mid sweet. Nice taste of roasted oatmeal, bread, and a backdrop of dried fruits. Smoothly roasted dark malty finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good. Bottle, at the restaurant. Next to black in the glass, topped by a small, dense dark beige head. Lacing. The aroma is rather burnt, in a very nice way, with roasted malts, coffee, some dried fruits and dark rye bread. It’s super smooth, almost creamy, and next to full bodied. Semi dry. Burnt flavor with roasted malts, coffee grit, prunes, dates and dark rye bread. Low on bitterness, but not very sweet either. Long burnt, almost charcoal finish. Delicious indeed. 161028
