Hazed golden in the glass and a fine head. Decent intensity in the aroma. Balanced sweetness and bitterness. Unusual fine carbonation level (from this brewery) Malty, herbal and some bread in the flavor. [Bottle @ source]

500ml, swing-top bottle, 5.3 % abv, outside in sunny weather at Horten Sjømilitære Samfund. Shared with Frau Eva. Pours a misty golden body and a lasting pearl white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Promising aromas of grainy malts and grassy hops. Fine blended taste of bread-like malts, herbal hops, and a bite of ripe fruits. Mid-dry and mid-sweet malty finish. Food friendly. Decent. (Horten, 14.08.2024).

Bottle, at the restaurant. An unclear amber colored beer with a small dense off-white head. Quite malty, lightly yeasty aroma with pale malts, caramel and a good dash of fruityness. It’s medium to full bodied, nicely carbonated, and with a nice bitterness. Quite dry, with fruityness dominating the flavor, caramel malts in the back. Mostly fruity end. A charming beer that pushes the boundaries of kolsch quite a lot. 161028
