On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear yellow colored beer topped by an off-white fingerthick head. Banana, spices and some lemon notes in the aroma. The spices are more in the hefeweizen style than in the Belgian wit style, but it’s far from bad. The same goes for the flavor, with cloves, banana, lemon and pale malts, followed by a decent bitterness. It’s full to medium bodied and nicely carbonated, with a sharp bitterness and a yeasty touch in the finish. Sure a decent one, although not your average witbier. 150905

Draught @ Bryggeriet, Bergen
Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, alcohol, orange, yeast, some spices and faint hint of popcorn. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, wheat and fruity finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy.
