Imperial Ale is a top-fermented beer with a rich flavour bouquet. There is a perfect balance between the delicious bitter taste of hops and the sweetness of malt. The copper colour that characterizes the best ales adds a respectability referring to its imperial past.

amber colour, some off-white head, which collapses and fully disappears a bit too quickly; aroma of dried berries, and some caramel; taste is the same; a bit too dominant sweetness, otherwise easily drinkable

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and metal, with touches of hops and yeast. Sweetish taste of malt and fruit, with bitter, hoppy touches and estery notes. Bitter finish with a metallic taste to it. Drinkable but nothing really impressive.

40cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours clear deep golden to orange with a rather small white head. Mild fruity and grainy aroma with a hint of hops. Medium sweet with light fruity flavours and a rather mild bitterness. Wouldn’t call it interesting or a decent ale, but better than the pale lagers they make...
