Solsletta 020618. Red golden color with an off-white head. Aroma is raspberries, yeast, lemon. Flavor is raspberries, yeast, lemon, bread, berries. Nice easy drinkable beer.

Bottle, courtesy of To Tørste Mænd. A rather copper-ish, reddish colored beer with a small, white head. Compared with the much fresher homebrew edition tasted side by side, most of the color is gone. The homebrew is deep red, with a pink tint in the head. The aroma has loads of raspberry, with lemon juice and lacto chiming in. Some pale mash and bread dough. It's medium bodied and quite high but nicely carbonated, semi-tart. Raspberry, generic fruityness and some bread dough in the flavor. Lasting raspberry driven finish. A very fine one, even though it is quite light and dry, it still has body, and considering it's close to two years old, one year past BB-date, the raspberry is still very nice. The homebrew edition is sort of reminiscent of raspberry candy, though in a nice way. Prefer the mature Ego edition. 180602

Herre for en øl. Ser ut som ripssaft og smaker som bringebær saft. Knall sommerdricka. Bra intensitet i aromaen. Tydelig bringebær ja. Medium kropp og en fin myk karbonering. Lettdrikkelig og fin. Frisk fin syrlighet sammen med en rund sødme. Lett tørr avsluttning. Masse bringebær i smaken. Noe laktose. Ikke så fremtredende kjekspreg som en del andre. Bra saker!

Small white head doesn’t last, leaves not even a complete ring. Hazy pale red body. Mealy raspberry aroma with yoghurty notes. Sweet-acidic mealy raspberry taste with juicy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish-acidic mealy raspberry taste with salty herbal notes. Nice, drinkable, straightforward. (0.5l bottle, from Gulating Strømmen. Batch #179.)
