KYGG 170422. Deep amber color with no head. Aroma is honey, spices. Flavor is honey, alcohol, red berries, vanilla, marzipan, bourbon. Nice mead.

Bottle. A clear chestnut colored beer, still and oily. Honey, bourbon, cherry notes, vanilla, alcohol, generic fruityness and some dried fruits. It's full-bodied, oily and warming, sweet, with a good honey and fruityness flavor. Vanilla, sweetness, alcohol, sweetness and some berry-ish sourness in the flavor. Cherry, some raspberry and a faint hint of blackcurrant. Even some cocoa and caramel. Lasting finish. Hides the alcohol super-well, tastes really nice, and is well worth a revisit if possible. 220417

Pours clear deep amber with no head. Aroma has notes of honey, almonds, alcohol, marzipan, vanilla, some red berries and a faint hint of vinegar. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium sour with a long warm, berry, honey and light vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily to sticky, no carbonation.
