Bottle, at B2 Burgerbar. 2019 edition, bottle #409. It's an unclear dark brown beer with a minimalistic dark beige head. The aroma is a bit alcoholic, but delicious, with lots of cocoa and dark chocolate. Roasted malts, dried figs, hints of bonfire and a touch of wood. Doesn't seem to have been wood aged though. It's full bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, very softly carbonated, with a good bitterness. Not too sweet, and the added lactose seems to have been kept at a low level. Dark chocolate and cocoa, hints of bonfire and coffee, some dark dried fruit and bonfire in the flavor. Woody, tannin-ish hints too, especially in the finish. I guess a few years of storage did good to this one. It's sure a delicious one now, but I suspect it might have been a bit rough on the edges when younger. 220331
