KYGGK 180921. Deep red color with no head. Aroma is honey, cherries. Flavor is honey, cherries, cocoa, oak, vanilla. Very nice mead.

Bottle. A clear looking, or at least almost clear, dark, dark red mead, still and headless. The aroma is gorgeous, with some honey and flowers in the back, with blackcurrant leaves, some blackcurrant, a touch of almond, some cherry and a faint note of dark chocolate and wood. It's sweet, full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, oily and sticky. Honey, dark chocolate notes, blackcurrant leaves, cherry and some caramel sweetness. Lasting finish with lots of blackcurrant leaves, cherry and dark chocolate, with honey in the back. A delicious one indeed, well worth a revisit. 210918

Flat, dark reddish color. Aroma is slightly concentrated dry fruity, bark, minerals, fruit stones, sour dried cherries, cocoa, oak, alcohol, nuts, berry skin, vanilla, toasted honey. Taste is sweet concentrated fruity, dried cherries, cocoa, alcohol, oak, berry skin, cherry stones, vanilla, toasted honey, cherry syrup, minerals. Concentrated sweet sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice.
