Flat, clear golden color. Aroma is sweet fruity, caramelized apples, vanilla cream, cinnamon, alcohol, honey. Taste is sweet fruity, concentrated apple juice, hay, honey, citrus, cinnamon, hints of vanilla. Sweet sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice.

YG 040423. Deep golden color with no head. Aroma is honey, apple, cinnamon, vanilla. Flavor is honey, apples, cinnamon, vanilla, wood. Nice mead.

Bottle. A clear deep golden colored mead, still and oily in the glass. Apple pie aroma, that gorgeous smell of freshly baked apple pie with cinnamon, apple jam-ish apple and cake, along with hints of vanilla, and some alcohol, wood and honey. Quite subdued honey actually. It's full-bodied, oily and smooth on the palate, quite warming, but in a good way. Sweet flavor with honey and apple pie. Vanilla, warm apple jam, cinnamon, apple pie dough and some woody hints. Long, sweet and not too cloying finish. Delicious indeed. Not a mead to drink a lot of, but a small glass is really enjoyable. 230404
