330ml bottle, (limited edition,900 bottles, vintage 2023) bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A deep rustic shade to near coal black body, some bubbles on the surface, fragile lacing. Rich aromas of dark and dried fruits, hints of smoked malts. Powerful taste, fine blend of raisin, prunes, dark chocolate, and oak. The aftertaste follows suit with dried fruits, dark malts and a delicate peaty smoke. Full bodied, warming sipper. Enjoying. (Tromsø, 13.07.2025).

Bottle. A murky dark brown beer with some beige bubbles. The aroma is quite vinous, lightly boozy, with some smoked malts, cocoa, roasted malts, heavy caramel sauce, some prune and rum soaked raisin, a hint of spice and wood, and some distinct notes of aroma I assume is due to the saison yeast used. It's warming and full-bodied, tannin-rich and softly carbonated, quite sweet, but not too sweet. Rather bitter too, especially in the finish. The flavor follows the same path as the aroma, deliciously stout-ish, yet with a twist from the yeast, and also from the barrel ageing. Really lasting finish. The first minute or two, this beer felt way too overpowering, but a little time to aerate helped a lot, and it eventually turned out to be a really delicious brew. Still an intense one though, so well suited for sharing, even though the bottle is only 33cl. 240204
