Pours dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, chocolate and hint of licorice. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, malty, chocolate and licorice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A black one, or perhaps a tad brown, with a small, dense, beige head. Nice curtains. The aroma has roasted malts, dark chocolate, some licorice and coffee, and a pleasant touch of dark dried fruits and piney hops. Hints of oak in the far back. The dark fruit can be broken down into raisin and prune. It's full-bodied and smooth on the palate, softly carbonated and very lightly warming. Prune, raisin, licorice, roasted malts, some burnt hints, some piney hops and a pleasant touch of lager yeast. Oak hints. Lasting finish. Yet another beauty from Lindheim. 231226
