Bottled 500ml (AbM)
Clear copper color, small off-white head. Aroma has odd cellary hops with hints of crystal malts. Light-bodied. Flavor is also on heavy earthy hoppy side with back crystal malts although not really sweet. 3.8% is not a problem. Odd.

500ml bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel, butterscotch. Taste is more of the same. Faint herbal bitter on the far flung reaches of detectability. Sweet finish, sticky and thin.

Gravity dispense at the Happy Man Spring BF, 20/03/15. Copper brown with a moderate off white cap that soon dissipates. Nose is earthy, musty, twiggy, light fruit notes, toffee. Taste comprises much the same, a feast of twig, light fruit cake, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, bitterness in the close. Boring twiggy bitter.

Cask at Six Bells, Cambridge. Tawny/copper. Fairly flat. Nice earthy/doughy smell. The taste isn’t so balanced: herby bitter turning to a sour/sweet in the finish. I’ve had this many a time in my pre-RB days. Not convinced it travels so well.
