A very hop forward IPA. Big Casino borrows its name from the story of Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid. Before the Kid was killed by Garrett in 1881, the two men where good friends and would play cards together in the gambling house. ‘Casino’ was the game they would play. Billy and Pat even adopted the nicknames ‘Little Casino’ and ‘Big Casino’ respectfully, after the trump card hands in the game.

Keg at New Forest Beer Fest. Aroma is fruity with a porridge streak. Hazy pale orange. Foamy translucent white head. Stone fruit and citrus. Tangy with some bitterness. Canned fruit syrup sweetness in the mix. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy-soft carbonation. Long rather dry astringent finish. Big fruity stuff, yo.

Keg, third, at the brewpub. Shared with Finn. Covering white head, unclear golden body, scattered lacing. Inviting grapefruit aromas. Citrus taste with orange and grapefruits. Mid-dry hop fruity ending. Medium bodied. Nice and refreshing. (Southampton 21.10.2019).

(On tap) Cloudy amber with nice white head. Lovely fruity aroma - pine, citrus, apricots. Medium body and carbonation. Lovely fruity taste - again citrus and apricot - with subtle biscuit malt and a nice bitter finish. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
