cask @ Black Door
Aroma is sweetish with berries, citrus, hops and toffee. Also some peaches and hay. Flavour is hoppy with fruits, hay, peaches, nettles and hints of apricot. Some off-flavours start to occur after some sips. Quite rich for a real ale. The hop profile is a bit unpleasant.

Aroma: Light aroma of biscuit, lemon and straw.

Appearance: Hazy golden body with a frothy white head. Flat carbonation. Nice lacing.

Taste: Sharp lemony taste with hints of peach. I could tell there was Citra in this before reading the description. Nice bitterness.

Palate: Medium body with a very oily texture. No carbonation.

Overall: Bright and hoppy. This tastes really fresh, Delicious.

Thanks to Finn for sharing a cask ale at The Old Fountain. Low white head with fine retention. Clear amber coloured body. Dried fruity aroma with mild malty sweetness. Malt accented taste with pine-like fruits beneath. Dry bitter endnotes. Well balanced and medium bodied. Likable (London, 05.11.2012).

(Cask at Gallow’s Bird, 20121103) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was white, small and long lasting. Aroma had fruitiness, grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, pine, malts and bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy and bitter. A surprisingly hoppy cask ale but also a good and well balanced one.
