Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small cream head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly oats but with some hints of dark fruits too. Roasted malts to the fore in the mouth, alongside and hints of liquorice and chocolate. Later on there are traces of raisins and ginger as well. Finish is malty and slightly dry. This is a decent stout.
