Cask at the Carpenters Arms, London. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy, off-white head. Bread and caramel dominate the nose. Flavor is fairly syrupy, a bit medicinal, with caramel and sugar malts, followed by faint bitterness. Also notes of maple and nuts. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes mostly sweet with some not super pleasant bitterness. Could be better.

On cask at coat of arms in Portsmouth, NH. Tried with liveFREEorRYE. Light amber color with a decent amount of foamy off white head. Aroma was sugary with some cinnamon. The head dissipated very slowly and nice lacing around the glass as I drank it. As it warmed more, the apple and spice surfaced more and more. It also has a nice mouth feel and was NOT heavy to drink. This a good cask brew.

Cask. Poured a clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma had light hops with floral and citrus fruits. Flavor had more malt in it which allowed the beer to start a bit sweet but the citrus fruits finished.

Cask at the Playhouse (JDW), Edinburgh. Golden amber with tight cream head; sweet fruity malt aroma; smooth grainy body, with some sweet non-descript fruit; and a biscuity finish.

Previous rating of the 5.6% version (3/3/2009) Cask at the Lyndhurst, Reading. Gold with a thin cream head; pineapple aroma; tropical fruit flavours and a light floury finish. Rather dull and ordinary for the ABV. (6/3/6/3/13=3.1)
