22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear dark reddish brown color with a nice 1-2 finger light tan head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty glass lacing, with plenty of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, light coffee, roasted malt, toast, nuttiness, and light herbal hops. Nice and well balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of chocolate, caramel coffee, roasted malt, toast, nuttiness, and herbal spiciness. Light herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, and herbal hops on the finish for a short bit. Fairly dry on the finish. Nice balance of flavors; but a touch on the watery side and not as robust as some porters I have had in the past. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel. Very smooth to drink; with no alcohol presence at all as expected for 5%. Overall this is a nice, enjoyable, and very drinkable porter.

Bottle thanks to fata2683: Poured a black with tan head. Aroma is a gritty chocolate. Taste thin with grain and chocolate. Leave a dry dirty finish.

Pours dark brown with a large fading head.Nose shows roasted malt, dark chocolate and big nutty notes. Also a faint savoury character. Pretty restrained.Flavours are more on the hoppy side, with prominent piny notes accompanying bold roasted malt and coffee. Pretty flavoursome.Could use a bit more carbonation.

Draft at Alchemy. Near opaque black, some red stained glass corners. Thin, steady beige head. Creamy. Sweet, classic Porter aroma, chocolate toffee. On the fuller side of medium bodied, relatively middle of the road, perhaps a little more hopped up. Smooth, some coffee tones. Solid Porter.

Bottle at home with Drew and Lyoli. Pours dark brown with a medium, creamy beige head. Rich, medium roast aroma with aroma featuring chocolate, mocha-like syrup. Flavor is medium sweet, has some mild caramel and chocolate, lightly burnt wood, faint bitterness. Medium in body with fine, creamy carbonation. Dries out somewhat in the finish with some brown sugar, mild roastiness, faint tar and cocoa. Very good.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is dark chocolate with hints of coffee and caramel. Lightly hazy dark brown with golden edges and a medium tan head. Flavor is coffee up front with the dark chocolate and light bitterness fading in after a few seconds. Pretty tasty for a standard porter.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Nr Wantage, Oxon, consumed 10.12.10 Pours dark brown with a beige head. This is a little dry with some sweetness intertwined with a fairly safe roastiness, a little cofffee and dark chocolate and gentle sour fruity twang. Ok A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
