Brewed with coffee from the lovely people at Herts Coffee Lab. A hefty grain bill with lots of complex dark stuff. Transferred to casks after fermentation in autumn 2022 and left to mature in oak over winter in a cold barn. Just a simple, oaky, malty, impy stout.

Keg at the Junkyard, Nottingham, 07/07/23. Black with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark chocolate, mellow roast, dark malts, cocoa powder, brown sugar melt, molasses. Taste comprises dark malts, light spice, modest coffee, chocolate, dates, raisins. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay stuff but lacking both coffee presence and depth of flavour for me.
