A showcase of flavours from malts at a very sessionable 3.9%. Sticky dried fruit at the forefront gives way to gentle coffee, chocolate and roasted notes, making for a moreish pint of traditional ale!
The resulting Dark Mild has easy drinking and full of flavour, so pull up a stool at the bar and order another one!

Pours a coppery brown colour with a small frothy beige head. The aroma is light roasted malts, chocolate and dark fruit notes. A moderately sweet taste, sweet roasted malts, chocolate, and dark dried fruit flavours with a light roasted bittersweet finish.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head. Malts are to the fore in the aroma, along with some hints of corn and chocolate. Malts are the mainstay in the mouth as well, plus dark fruits, cola, dandelion and burdock and hints of vanilla/ Finish is fruity and slightly dry. This is a decent mild.
