Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of fruity whisky, licorice, creamy coffee, chocolate, raisin, figs and caramelised malt. Taste has rich fruity whisky, figs, dates, raisin, licorice, oaky vanilla, caramel fudge and chocolate. This is really good, lots of rich and balanced flavors.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Armada Mortlach B.A. on 25 May 2018 at 13:03 - Score: 9

Pitch black with a tan head with medium retention. Notes of roasted malts, lactose, milk chocolate, wood, liquorice, burnt caramel, whiskey and a subtle barrel funk/mould. I love the base beer and this is amazing too, somehow feels like a US stout, leaning a bit to the sweet side, probably due to the added lactose. A bit lighter bodied than the base stout, and with a bit more carbonation. Really good!
