This semi-dark lager is produced according to the traditional original Czech recipe, using authentic quality ingredients and time-tested production process. It is distinguished by a stronger intensity of bitterness and fullness. It is supplemented by a great crispness, which is the main source of the refreshing effect of this beer. An exquisite fine caramel taste is complemented by a beautiful dazzling amber colour and a dense delicate foam.

bottle from #Secret Santa ’15, this is also my first beer from the Polotmavy style, many thanks @Cuso !!! pours clear, slight pale chestnut red/brown with a foamy off-white head. aroma of sweet sickly malts, grain, dough, straw. Taste medium sweetness, weakly bitter, quite malty flavors, some musty old flavors, nuts, caramel, grain, licht hops, a bit on the sweet side, thin texture, low carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kaprál 11° on 15 May 2018 at 14:21 - Score: 6

Bottle from trade with Cuso, many thanks! Klare dunkel orangegoldene Farbe, schöne große leicht beige Schaumkron. Geruch nach Karamellmalz, leicht rauchig, Schinken. Geschmack metallisch, sehr malzig, würzig bitter, auch im Abgang unangenehm metallisch bitter.

Bottle thanks to Cuso. Pours copper amber white head. Nose/taste of peppercorn, light bread, caramel and light fruit. Touch metallic. Lighter medium body.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, caramel, light butter. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, buttery, caramel, hay, straw. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140228]

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Golden amber with little in the way of a head, off white spotting. Nose is bread dough, light orchard fruit, pale malts, earthy tones, faint caramel. Taste comprises aple skins, touch more caramel, bread dough, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so. Cheers to Jan for my final style tick!

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small. Grassy and toasted malty. Toasted malty, light cornish and mild caramelish. Bitter and toasted malty. Light caramelish.

Bottle. A gusher, producing a small, dense, off-white head. Clear, golden body. Some caramel in the aroma, with a pleasant hop scent, pine cones and some grass. Pale malts, some caramel, bitterness and a faint metallic touch in the flavor. Medium body, dry and with a bit hard carbonation. Pretty metallic in the end. Sort of easy drinkable this one, but far from a winner. 140228
