Gajes - Awarded 'Best beer of the Netherlands 2016' in the Dutch Beer Challenge.
Gajes (Dutch slang for scum) is a heavily dry hopped tripel.
We used a very neutral top fermenting yeast strain that produces a clean balanced beer with a smooth malty sweetness.
Three additions of bright floral hops build to a crisp-citrus-bitter crescendo (a gradual, steady increase in force).
A liquid poem to the glory of the hop", utterly deserving of its name and a craft beer you won't soon forget.

Fles gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een troebel oranje bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een citrusachtige en hoppige geur. De smaak is vol, hoppig, citrus achtig en heeft een bittere zacht zoete afdronk.

ABV: 8.0%. Cloudy medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, belgian yeast, floral, light fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, bread - yeast, floral, belgian yeast, light citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to lively. Oranjebruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is bitterzoet en kruidig met iets van rozijnen, sinaasappel en hars. Erg fijn, blijft lang hangen.

Slightly hazy pale amber colour, good frothy white head, good retention, fair lacing. Comples aroma sweet malt, bread, yeast, light banana, hint of lemon, alcohol notes. Flavour medium sweet and bitter, malty, light banana and lemon, some coriander, yeast. Medium body, oily to light creamy texture, soft carbonation, bit spicy sweetbitter aftertaste, alcohol notes, well-balanced, light heavy somewhere between a strong blond and a tripel, nice.
