Originally named Gallows, this beer was originally brewed as a seasonal special to celebrate Halloween and the legendary fancy dress parties that take place at the Star.

Mary Toft born in Godalming in 1701 become the subject of a controversy when she convinced doctors she had given birth to several rabbits.

The royal family were even taken in by the scam and sent their own investigators to establish the truth. Within hours of their arrival Mary gave birth to another rabbit.
