Bottle at home. Slightly hazy brown amber with offwhite head. Sweet smoked caramel dipped bacon, bready grain, liquid hotdogs, earthy brown leathery skins of Danish bogbodies, fish scales and ditch water, black seaweed, lapsang souchoung tea, dark honey, butterscotch and Tiger's Eye gem stones. Moderate sweet, bitter and the thing called umami. Medium body and soft carbonation. Well done! Very true to the Schlenkerla Gods. Now icebock the shit out of it! In the long finish the aroma dives and dips into wateriness. I think it could use a slightly heavier/ more syruppy malt body and slightly more intense aroma or abv boost, or a touch more sweetness maybe. Very very nice though.

Bottle. Color: In between amber and copper, thin off-white head. Aroma: Smoked bacon. Taste: Moderate sweet malt with strong notes of smoke and salty bacon, hints of caramel. Light hopbitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. As a lover of smoked beers, I think this one is very likable.
