An American IPA with a bitter edge that will push your citrus tolerance to the brink and back; Elvis Juice is loaded with tart pithy grapefruit peel. This IPA has a caramel malt base, supporting a full frontal citrus overload - grapefruit peel piled on top of intense U.S. aroma hops. Waves of crashing pine, orange and grapefruit round out this citrus infused IPA.

330ml can: BBD 10th May 2018. Poured into the free Brewdog glass that came with the multi-pack in my local Morrisons: thanks Matt my son-in-law for buying it for me. 5th Aug 2017 was the day I had the can. Drank straight after a Brewdog Hop Fiction APA. Golden amber body, off-white crown. Grapefruit esters and flavours rule the nose and taste, more depth and flavour than the Hop Fiction, liked this a lot.

Bottle from Pezinská pivná pumpa Light citrus aroma with some candy welcomes you to enjoy this piece. Amber body with no head worth mentioning. Taste is medium bitter, slightly hoppy and yes, you can find the promised grapefruit. Smooth one, I like.

On tap at Flesk og Humle. A hazy dark golden to amber colored beer with a creamy two finger off-white head leaving lacing. Very citrusy aroma, with lots of orange zest, some grapefruit and pine cones. Hints of the malts in the back. At first the orange was really nice, but it soon felt artificial. Still nice though. It’s medium bodied and smooth on the palate, semi dry and with a bitterness that feels too subtle. Orange, orange zest, grapefruit and pine cones. Long piney and orangey finish. Quite refreshing this one, but sort of artificial and one dimensional. 170729

From a 330ml bottle on 24/7/2017. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a biggish head. The nose features fruity, zesty hops. Take a sip and there’s light caramel, followed by bucket loads of citrus - orange, lemon and grapefruit. The hops provide a moderate grapefruity bitterness which integrates quite nicely with the malt and sweet fruit. Enjoyable.

On tap at Hair of the Dog Phrom Phung, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out assertive piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly fruity, with piney hops, some red fruits and dry biscuity malt. Piney and fruity finish. Nicely balanced. Good stuff.
