Split a 22oz bottle with a friend. Poured a light caramel color with a small slightly fluffy white head. Aroma was sweet tropical fruits, touch of pine. No heavy malt character - unless my palate deceives me (it could just be that this one didn’t have the typical malt-bomb characteristics I’ve come to find in this particular, sometimes poorly labeled style). Alcohol is well hidden for 10% ABV.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Fred gets a lot of good beers! Pours a dark ruddy/brown copper with a slight foamy beige head. Strong grapefruit rind aroma - but it’s smooth. Full bodied. Flavor is grapefruit rind, arguably resin, and some fairly roasted malt. But it’s all about the hops here. This stuff is stuffed with hops. Enough to put on a burn. Gotta be in the top 10 of DIPAs. The hop bitter/burn just goes on and on.

Sampled with the Madison crew. Tropical mango, island fruit aroma. Mellow mouthfeel, lots of tropical flavor. Simcoe goodness, lots of flavor, but not so bitter. Soapy, lacy head. Quite enjoyable. Tastes a little faded. but still exceptional. Remarkably balanced and smooth.

Bottle 22fl.oz.[ Trade by JohnC ]. Clear medium to dark amber orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit, apricot, orange. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, caramel, sweet orange, apricot. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110315]

Bottle from Secret Santa 2010. Pours clear copper color with off white head. Big citrus aroma. Citrus and pine flavors with sweet caramel maltiness. Lots of bitterness and slightly boozy. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Andrew. My 100th rated DIPA.

On tap at the brewery, finally!!! Pours with a huge tan head over a flowery orange body. Aroma is huge, floral, dank, weed, citrus, dry and herbal. Taste is some sweet crystal, but finishes dry as any good DIPA will. Very nicely balanced. Tastes like it uses a hop bursting technique. Lots of floral, herbal and grapefruit hops with a restrained bitterness. Dry and excellent!

64 fl oz growler. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is dense grapefruity and mild peachy hoppy. Sweet and fruity hops flavoured. Clean and crisp. Lovely. Bitter and dry finish. Lovely again.
