Ziemlich süßer Antrunk. Malz, vergoren fruchtig, Zucker. Karamellig, kaum röstig, Kirschen. Würzig, die 11% sind nie erkennbar, mir zu süß. Cremig, leicht erhöhte Viskosität, langer Abgang. Nicht ganz mein Fall. 12/8/8/8/11/8

440ml can from Left Field Beer and shared at Benny’s place in Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a thin round tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, cinnamon. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, big roasty, slightly oily, earthy, herbal, chocolate, light boozy, liquorice bitter palate and an oily mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Can from The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Black pour with a tan head. Nose is smoke, raisin, dark chocolate, coffee. Smoky sweet taste, lots of raisin, chocolate, dark fruits, coffee, liquorice toffee. Boozy sweet finish.

Can at Prague Beer Festival. Med-full body, med-high carbonation. Lots of sweetness, lots of syrupy character, dates, dried fruits, but definitely on the cloying side. Rather weak bitterness, feels out of balance even for a dessert stout. Assertive nuttiness as well. Overall rich, intense, ABV hidden well, but definitely a sipper and even then in small quantities. Good but not great.

440ml can. Pours almost black with a dark brown head. Aroma of sweet sugary chocolate, dessert cherries, dried fruits. Taste is very sweet, chocolate, brown sugar, dried fruits, cherries, not getting the apricots though, spices aren't strong but add a nice little bite, warming finish but the alcohol itself is well hidden. Thick, smooth. Bit too sweet and fruity for my tastes but very well made.
