Bottle from Callans, in mum and dads garden, 04/06/16. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off White head that soon dissipates to a swirl and edging. Nose is caramel malt, orange, faint spice, cantaloupe melon, light herbal rip. Taste comprises bitter orange, red grapefruit, caramel, bubblegum, toasted bread, faint spice and a light chalky mineral tickle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Adequate IPA.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [181015]
Golden brown, slight haze, bubbly white head
Aroma of citrus zest, soft sweet tropical fruits, some tangerine
Taste of soft tropical fruit, bitter citrus zest, grapefruit, sweet fruity malt background, resinous hops, good robust flavour, some pithy stuff in there
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bitter hops, good bitter sweet balance. Finish of bitter citrus zest, fruity malts.
Overall - Well put together, isn’t as malty in the flavour as it looked. One of their best. Better than a 68 on rateBeer.
