Bottle courtesy of Mallorn via the RB EU Trade. Dark brown with a voluminous head that only slowly subsides. Aroma full of dark chocolate cake and citrus with burnt grain undertones. Taste is bittersweet with the chocolate sweetness picking up at the end. Medium, slightly oily body. A good one.

Bottled 330ml (from Bierkoning, Amsterdam) Dark ruby colour, medium-sized beige head and some lace. Quite fruity CDA nose with backing toastyness. Medium-bodied. Toasted malts, some fruity and citrusy hops, nice licorice and bitterness in the finish. Smooth palate. Very balanced old skool CDA.

Cask. Gist, Brussels. Muddy dark brown. Thick, loose foam of beige head. Nose has well roasted malt. Blackberry. Scorched citrus. Taste is fairly sweet, with a little citrus bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Light, roast malt bitterness to finish. Ok. Might have benefitted being on keg.

Clear dark brown beer, big solid creamy light beige head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: herbal and spicy notes, pretty weird, soft roasted touch. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty roasted start, coffee, bit sourish, fruity notes, bitter, some charcoal. Aftertaste: very bitter, citrus, grapefruit, dry, bit spicy, more roast, sweetish, coffee touch, little acidic, dry and hoppy finish, good!

Bottle at marktzicht. Aroma of chocolate malt, coffee, peach and tropical fruit. Taste has bitter chocolate, peach, citrus, coffee and some licorice. Good bipa.

Bottle at De Helling. Oat black with small dark beige head. Roast, quite some chocolate, grapefruit, apricot, orange, light dead leaves and coffee. Medium sweet, bitter and bodied. Not bad!

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV en JeroenvD. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, gebrand en hoppig.

330ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Liquorice, pine and some soapy notes in the aroma. Liquorice, fudge, pine, soapy hops and orange in the taste. A really nice black IPA. Hints of salmiakki in the finish.
