Can. Pours a clear very pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy weak bready aroma. Fruity malty grainy slightly bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy finish with a bitter aftertaste.

33cl can from a supermarket, Rhodes. Pours clear pale golden with a white head. Moderate grainy aroma with hints of fruits and cookef vegetables. Fairly sweet and grainy with a vey light bitterness. Passable in the heat.

Bottle @ Hotel, Rethymnon. Pours light yellow with a fading white head. Aroma of malt, light bread, sweetness, litle hops. Flavor of malt, cardboard, bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish. Among the other things i dont like in this beer is the strange bitterness, its not hoppy, just bitterness. 110813

Can. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Watery palate. Deasent considering origin.

33cl Can on Syros, Greece, from the supermarket. 4.5% ABV. Clear pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, rotting leaves, corn. Flavour is sweet, paper, light pale malts, light grainy and paper bitter finish. Light bodied. Drinkable, but not good.

Bottle 330ml.Clear light to medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, sour, vegetables, cooked corn. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20120523]

Bottled. A pale golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of wet hay, cardboard, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, cardboard, and wet hay, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

May 2009: Brought back from the holiday island of Skiathos to review. It was the first of a five pilsner/lager tasting during a lovely warm, sunny afternoon in England (very rare). This beer came last for score out of all five beers, it was up against ’Edelsteiner’ (another Greek), Amstel (Holland), Gurkha (UK) and a Swedish premium lager called Stockholm, which came out top. All beers were poured into two different glasses, a Veltins Pilsner stemmed tulip and a Watzdorfer vase. This beer looked better in the tulip because it was so light, in the thinner vase it was very, very pale indeed. The white head that appeared soon left again. I always give a score of 3 for lagers/pilsners, unless there is something to pontificate about, there wasn’t with this beer, it was completely odourless. It was also tasteless, absolutely nothing to it, not even a straw hint, maybe a little metallic feel. Watery, weak and no redeeming features at all. A waste of wieght in my luggage allowance.

Bottle. Clear pale golden with a small white head. Skunky aroma with rotten graininess. Sweetish grainy flavor with paper and a slightly drier finish with herbal and metallic hints. Light-bodied. Not so pleasant.
