Tap at Brewdog Malmö. Opaque colour and tiny beige head. Very sweet pastry aroma. Vanilla, liquer konfekt in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of bourbon in the flavour. Marshmallows, vanilla. A bit boozy.

Can from my 2023 Advent and is the 2022 vintage. Black color with a t5an head. Aroma and taste start with some whiskey peat, leading to roasted malty chocolate and sweet, some molasses. Rich boozy body.

A deep dark stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of dark fruits, licorice, tequila barrel, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light coffee notes, very nice..

On tap at BrewDog Bristol Baldwin, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a tiny tan head. Aroma is ridiculous, as per Amundsen norms, with sprinkles, artificial caramel, and sugars galore - bleh. Flavour is much the same, with Xmas cookie, caramel, absurdly sweet sugars, and booze. The barrel character must be hidden behind the sugars and artificial flavours. Ugh, this is a travesty.

330ml can. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate and red berry fruits. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, cherry, herbal, spicy, lactose, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Like most Amundsen beers these days it was a little OTT and packed with fake flavours. Struggled to drink the whole can.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Totally artificial aroma full of cherry candy, milk chocolate and miscellaneous birthday cake sprinkles. Taste is sugary sweet with a tart undertone. Body to the full side of medium, moderate to mild carbonation. The barrel is just barely noticeable under the birthday cake mess and isn’t really adding anything here. Bad haul from the cellar tonight—second beer that’s hard to finish.

2022 vintage from the BB advent calendar. Dark black with a brown head. Nose of gingerbread, spice, cocoa, light spirits. Flavor is smooth, super sweet, warming taste of whatever type the barrel was but without being hot. A bit much lactose for me, and lots of flavorings. Not a lot of bitterness, more of a nutty chocolate cake dessert with just a hint of hops at the finish. I agree with Fin about this one.
