This Export Porter opens with an inviting aroma of coffee, roasted malt and a hint of burnt sugar. The body is medium to light, which makes for a pleasant and drinkable mouthfeel. At first sip you taste the full flavour of coffee, supported by sweet notes of caramel. As the flavour develops, nutty accents emerge, followed by a subtle hint of chilli that provides a warming finish. The combination of these elements makes 'Sorachi & Sriracha' a unique and balanced porter with a slightly spicy twist.

330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a decent dark brown head. Aroma is mild with dark malts perhaps a hint of coffee. Beer is medium bodied and you get the dark to almost burnt malts followed by the heat of the chili which lingers really well. The beer is moderately sweet with good depth of malt & coffee flavours plus a near perfect amount of chili heat; enough to notice for sure but it doesn't overpower the flavour.
Really very good.

Huge tan head over almost black beer, retreating very lacey. Melanoidins, nutty, bit of dark malts, and in the very end just a whiff of capsaicine. Taste is even a bit smoky, tobacco, whiffs of chocolate, dark bread, breadcrust and capsicum. The heat only arrives very late and keeps restrained. Well bodied, ditto carbonation, slick to almost oily, chewy. I will never be a fan of chilli flavoured beer, but this one is so balanced that I can enjoy it.
