From tap. Pours deep amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is wineous fruity, wooden and slight earthy. Sour, eense fruity, grapes to winous. Wooden, earthy and fruity. Mild wooden and sour fruity far finish.

On tap at Protokoll, Berlin, shared with Schieder and Fates11. Dark amber, small head. Aroma is funky at first, fermented fruit, plum, acidic, sour cherry, with hints of spice, toast and smoke. Malty toasty flavour, but intensely sour with hints of vinegar. Medium body, moderate carbonation, sour finish.

Finally, a Berliner Braunbier! This historical style is the last style on UT that I hadn't tried yet. 🤓 An interesting interpretation of a style with very little information. Tart, hints of black currant, smooth with no bitterness. Better as it warms.
