Keg at The Colmore, Brum. Opaque dark brown. Creamy light beige head. Aroma has caramel and booze. Flavourwise it's got sugary caramel with a bitter edge. Peripheral booze. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. A punchy Brown.

Cask at Chester Station Tap (not yet listed on Brewver) @ 8.5%. Pours a murky dark brown with a medium sized foamy cream head. The aroma has malts, nuts and honey. In the mouth it is quite sweet with a creamy texture. Flavour has malts, dark fruits, hazelnuts and honey. With alcoholic strength, lactose and hints of figs and plums coming through later leading to a boozy finish. This is decent – but was served too cold so may need a rerate.

Cask at The Colmore, Birmingham. A very dark brown coloured pour with a medium creamy off white head on top. Malty, caramel, dark fruit with a hint of honey. Decent enough brown ale but expected more from a higher level Thornbridge beer.
