Edel wirkt das Kristall-Weizen von Hoepfner schon optisch: Glanzklar schimmert tiefes Gold-Orange unter einer weißen, dichten Schaumkrone. Heiteres Perlen im Glas lässt die deutliche Rezenz erahnen, die das vollmundige Bier so frisch macht. Dezente Frucht- und Kräuternoten und ein Hauch warmer Holztöne ergeben jenes hoch aromatische Weizenerlebnis, für das unser Kristall-Weizen steht.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a white head. The nose is discreetly bananaish with some yeast. Medium body, discreet banana accents and an edge of metal. No real bitterness. 130810

Clear golden with a medium off white head. Sweet and yeasty aroma with wheat notes. Flavor had wheat, yeast and bananas. Finished sweet.

Bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. It pours a clear, golden body and an off-white head. The aroma has banana and a spiced touch, some wheat in the back. Quite tasteful, with banana, cloves and wheat. Lacks on bitterness. Medium body, rather effervescent. Banana finish. A decent one, but I sure prefer the unfiltered ones. Easy drinkable. 100813

Bottle. Banana, orange, clove, and metallic aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Banana/clove wheat malt flavor but with a strong metallic aftertaste. Without the metallic aroma and taste, this would have been a very nice Kristall but that ruins it for me.
